Solgen key moments since founded in 2016

Origins of the Concept

The vision for Solgen was conceived with a focus on tackling the challenges of energy supply and the inefficient energy grid. The core concept was built on integrating renewable energy sources, while using AI to optimise energy management through predictive models and real-time analytics.

Early 2016

Foundation of Solgen

The Solar Generation Company LLC was founded. The mission was clear: Create a decentralised green energy ecosystem where energy can be traded and distributed efficiently using AI, blockchain technology and smart grids.

December 2016

Early Integration of AI and Blockchain

Solgen launched its initial blockchain energy trading platform using energy credits (eBolt) to facilitate a seamless exchange of solar energy between households. This decentralised approach set the foundation for what should become and AI-powered ecosystem.

April 2017

Early version of real-time AI

The introduction of Solgen’s AI model, JOULES, was designed to predict energy consumption and optimise distribution based on historical data and weather patterns. This demonstrated how AI could balance energy distribution in real-time.

June 2017

Expanding into Industrial applications

Solgen began to expand its platform. The development of JOULES 2.0 was capable of managing energy production from multiple sources, enabling a fully integrated industrial management energy system. This was tested in a data gathering project in partnership with Finergy OY.

2018

EDGE and real-time data processing

The introduction of EDGE computing units and real-time data processing enabled the platform to handle high-frequency energy data, ensuring faster decision-making and optimised energy flows for commercial buildings and data centers. It also allowed for better energy storage management.

2019

Sustainable AI infrastructure

Solgen provided an integrated solution where renewable energy and smart grid systems could power AI training models while minimising environmental impact and energy consumption. Solgen’s second AI, DALTON was built to optimise long-term storage and trading strategies.

2020

Scaling infrastructure and energy trading

Solgen continued refining its system for data centres and EDGE computing, enabling AI infrastructure to operate with minimal energy waste. Solgen was also demonstrating its energy prediction models could scale to larger buildings, helping reduce energy consumption.

2021

Energy ecosystem growth

Solgen launched its energy credits CRYPTO MAKER to further facilitate energy trading between large industrial users and residential customers. This decentralised system allowed industries to trade surplus energy efficiently and at scale, directly benefitting from AI-driven forecast.

2022

Green path for AI

With EDGE computing becoming a critical part of the AI ecosystem, Solgen’s platform allowing data centers to run on renewable energy and optimise energy flows based on AI-driven predictions. This innovation created a new green path for AI development, addressing environmental concerns about large-scale AI trading models.

2023

Present and future vision

Solgen is poised to finalise its merger with Habitat AI, combining AI-driven energy management systems with sustainable data center operations. By integrating JOULES and DALTON into Habitat’s EDGE computing systems, Solgen will play a crucial role in creating energy-efficient AI infrastructure that minimises the carbon footprint of the AI development.
